Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 10, 2026

Overview

ShopSpot ("we", "our", "the extension") is a Chrome extension that uses AI to identify products in YouTube and TikTok video frames and find matching Amazon listings. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we handle and how.

Data We Do NOT Collect

ShopSpot does not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:

• Personally identifiable information (name, email, address)
• Browsing history or web activity
• Authentication credentials or passwords
• Financial or payment information
• Location data
• Any data from websites other than YouTube and TikTok

How the Extension Works

When you click "Find Products", ShopSpot captures a single frame from the currently playing video. This image is sent to a backend service solely for the purpose of identifying products visible in the frame. The image is not stored, logged, or used for any other purpose.

Identified products are then searched on Amazon and matching links are returned to you. No personal data is included in any of these requests.

Amazon Affiliate Disclosure

ShopSpot participates in the Amazon Associates Program. Links to Amazon products include an affiliate tag, which means we may earn a small commission if you make a purchase — at no extra cost to you.

Third-Party Services

ShopSpot uses AI vision processing to analyze video frames. Only the captured image frame is transmitted — no user identity or personal data is included. Amazon product search is performed via standard web requests.

Data Retention

We do not retain any user data. Video frames sent for analysis are processed in real time and immediately discarded.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
