How do I install ShopSpot?
Click "Add to Chrome" on the Chrome Web Store page. Once installed, navigate to any YouTube or TikTok video and you'll see the orange "🛒 Find Products" button appear on the page.
Which websites does ShopSpot work on?
ShopSpot currently supports YouTube and TikTok. More platforms coming soon.
Is ShopSpot free?
Yes, completely free to use.
🛒 Using ShopSpot
How do I find products in a video?
Pause the video on a frame where the product is clearly visible, then click the orange "🛒 Find Products" button at the bottom right of the page. The sidebar will open and show matching Amazon products.
What does the Rescan button do?
Rescan captures a new frame from your current video position. Useful if you've scrubbed to a different part of the video and want to find different products.
How do I minimize the sidebar?
Click the − button in the top-right of the sidebar to minimize it. Click the header bar or + button to expand it again.
Why does it say "No products found in this frame"?
The AI couldn't confidently identify a shoppable product in the current frame. Try pausing on a frame where a specific product is the clear focus of the shot — close-ups work best. Then hit Rescan.
🔧 Troubleshooting
The "Find Products" button isn't appearing
Make sure you're on a YouTube or TikTok video page (not just the homepage). Try refreshing the page. If it still doesn't appear, try disabling and re-enabling the extension from chrome://extensions.
I'm getting an error when scanning
This usually means the backend service is unavailable. Try again in a few seconds. If the problem persists, contact us below.
The wrong product is showing up
Try pausing on a clearer frame where the product is more prominent and well-lit. The AI works best with high-quality, unobstructed shots of the product. Hit Rescan after pausing on a better frame.
How do I uninstall ShopSpot?
Go to chrome://extensions, find ShopSpot, and click Remove.
